Pest Treatment FAQs

Got questions before or after your treatment? You’re not alone — here are the most common things our customers ask us. As always, if you don’t see your question here, give us a call and we’re happy to help.

Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?

Yes! We use products that are safe for your family and pets once they have dried. For general pest control or mosquito treatments, we ask that you keep kids and pets out of the treated area for 15–20 minutes. If we’re doing both services on the same visit, we recommend staying out for 30–40 minutes just to be safe. Once that time has passed, it’s perfectly fine to go about your normal routine.

How long does a treatment take?

Treatment times vary depending on the size of your property and the type of service. Most standard treatments are straightforward and won’t take up much of your day. We’ll always give you a heads-up on timing when we schedule your appointment so there are no surprises.

How soon will I see results?

It really depends on the pest we’re dealing with. Here’s a general breakdown:

  • General pests — Many customers notice a difference within a day.
  • German roaches — These are tough ones. Expect to see significant improvement over 3–4 weeks with proper treatment.
  • Rats & rodents — Similar to roaches, a rodent situation typically takes 3–4 weeks to fully get under control.
  • Termites (Termidor) — Termidor works by spreading through the colony over time. Full effectiveness can take up to 90 days, but it’s one of the most thorough solutions available.
  • Mosquitoes — You should feel a noticeable difference quickly after treatment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare before treatment?

We’ll go over any specific prep steps with you before your appointment depending on the type of service. In general, having the areas we need to treat accessible and picking up any pet food or water bowls ahead of time goes a long way.

What should I do after treatment?

After the recommended wait time, you’re good to go back to normal. If you notice increased pest activity in the first few days after treatment, don’t be alarmed — this is actually a sign the product is working and pests are being flushed out. If you have any concerns after your treatment, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
